Forgot to mention

Gaffney Water Tower

If you want to go to Hames, the biggest Music Store in the South, you can find it off I-85 right past the Giant Peach water tower, that if you look at it right looks more like a rump, than a fruit.

I think I have a photo of me in front of it from when I was a kid.

Upstairs they have an entire floor of drum sets, and downstairs is a room devoded to different Church Tamborines. I always found that exciting, to have a choice of doves, folded hands, bibles, swords, sunsets, and what have-you's to hit in church. I was jellous of those kind of churches. My family went to one before I was born in this old airplane hanger, where one night I remember going back with my family and there was a woman speaking in Tongues. It freaked me out so much. I think Shawn went up there to get hands laid on him. I might have made that up but I really feel like it happened.

Took a road trip for Recruiting down to South Carolina Governor's School of the Arts. Found out that the kids there weren't looking at much art, but could really draw! It is so tough to teach context and contemporary art history to College Students esp. if they don't get it when they are in High School.

On the way down I passed by the Music Store where I purchased (actually dad purchased) my first Drum Set. I loved that Mapex set with three toms, solid bass, great pedal, two cymbals, and oversized snare. The snare eventually got replaced, and I switched to just two toms, and spent about another grand on better cymbals. My Hi-Hats actually cracked after my third band. And now it just collects dust in the shed at Mom's house. Maybe I can get a full time teaching job at a school and start a band up again. I learned so much from Michael and Zach. I need to put what they tought me to good use somewhere. And the Banjo isn't seeming to be played much in the future either.

Just got this photo from one of my old bosses back on the film. They are still trying to cinvince themselves that the project is going to happen and filming will begin in february, but I don't honestly care anymore. After being pulled around for months by this picture, I got out because a friend gave me a red flag, not a boss. If I hadn't heard what was going on from George I would still be waiting to work in the movie. How sad is that. They should have had the courtesy to be honest with me about everything. I mean if you were making as little as I was on this picture you need some job security. Right?

I need more coffee today, but don't have the money to buy it. Not even for a cup of coffee. That is depressing.

Home from LA

After the best week on the left coast. My only week on the left coast as well, I came home to find my apartment bringing out tears. Why didn't I clean up before I left. Mom always told us to clean house before you go on a trip, otherwise you will be depressed for days when you return. She was right.

Marc is going to be famous one day, what he will be famous for no one knows, but he will figure it out. The house with 60 windows, great cable, and perfect location will be missed. I saw too many Sunrises to be as productive as I wanted, but after putting together the leave behind packet for the Networks I feel that was enough for one week.

SO now it is the waiting game, just keeping the phone charged up incase they call to say someone picked the show up and we need you out here for a month to make it happen. What a strange little world I keep being escorted inside of.

Back in VA I have found a good structure in the office. Doing paperwork, time keeping and whatnot. Must learn to be more productive. I feel that they are paying me too much for how little I am doing right now, but that is the basis for all corporations right? I have to focus in on the job and start shining as a useful and indespensable team player.

Which means this post has to end now.
